hey there.

Welcome to my website!

A few years ago our entire world was rocked. One week away from giving birth, it was discovered I had tumours on my heart, lung and chest (the largest was first reported to measure over 19cm).

Our Pepe was born safely – and to this day I am still astounded that she survived what she did. But the tumours were too large to operate, malignant, and I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with life expectancy of less than 12 months.

I was told the cancer was ‘incurable’ and was offered palliative chemotherapy. This is when my husband Vernon and I began looking for alternative therapies. I believe in God and started praying incessantly and in return he gave me hope through one scripture (Jeremiah 29:11). From that moment I had faith that healing was possible, I just needed a medical strategy.

The following site shares insight around two main groupings. One is medical - my history, chosen therapy (keto and fasting) and miraculous outcome. The remaining writings are to do with my faith, and spiritual and emotional battles.

Right now, I am in a season of rest and gratitude. Gratitude for an amazing family who stood with us in faith. Gratitude for a visionary neurologist who became one of our dearest friends. And gratitude to a good good God, who made a way when there was no way.

This is my journey…

The left x-ray was taken in June 2019 while I was in ICU. All the white shadows are the tumours. The right x-ray was taken in October 2019 (just over 3 months later). This was a complete shock as the x-ray was to check if I had pneumonia.

The picture on the left hand side shows the June 2019 CT scan (again, all the mass is shown on the right hand side). The CT scan on the right was taken November 2019. The view is as if you were looking down from the neck.

medical case study

‘Managing Metastatic Thymoma with Metabolic and Medical Therapy: A Case Report’ was published in Frontiers in Oncology Journal (by Dr. Matthew Phillips). This paper documents our approach to stage four ‘terminal’ cancer without cancer drug therapy, instead using fasting and a ketogenic diet.
